Destiny 2 prepares for Halloween with the new Lost Soul Festival
Since the"King ofthe Corrupt", expansion for the first Destiny,Bungie has managed to channel the hose-themed horror atmosphere with a good loot opportunity for players. The 2020 edition of the Festival of Lost Souls is no exception. For the most part.
On the face of it, everything seems to be unchanged, and that's good. Going to the Tower and talking to PNG Eva Levante, you will get a themed mask and some goals to complete in exchange for chocolates, candies and other treats and strange coins that you will be able to exchange for more "substantial" prizes. Not only that: in addition to the themed rewards there will be many opportunities to get the Bright Dust and even more generous prizes in the Eververse cosmetic store. All right, then? Not really.
The Haunted Forest's attraction is interesting even if it's in cash a re-enactment of the Infinite Forest of the Curse of Osiris. Perhaps the real problems are an ungenerous drop rate and (mostly) the fact that everything seems slightly "recycled". The reason is simple, think about it: the great Beyond The Light expansion was originally to be released in the first half of September, and the Festival of Lost Souls would probably have been very different, tied to the launch of the new expansion and the relaunch of Destiny 2. Unfortunately, the global pandemic has also affected this aspect of our lives, forcing Bungie to postpone the release of Beyond the Light, and forcing them to rush to the shelters for the Halloween event, resuming and editing past content.
Considering that a software house like Bungie has entire departments working all year round, perhaps you could have expected a lower delay (or no delay) on the exit and therefore a better Party but, never like this case, you have to play with the cards we have and they are not bad at all. there remains only a sense of regret about how much better it could have been with the novelties of Beyond the Light.
