THQ Nordic today revealed the development of Chronos: Before the Ashes'sGunfire Games(Darksiders III, Remnant: From the Ashes),a new action-RPG coming onDecember 1, in which we play a hero/heroine sent into a mysterious labyrinth to defeat the presences inside and save his land from an ancient evil.

The game is a prequel to the story of Remnant: From the Ashes,and will include an interesting mechanic: every time we are defeated, our character will only be able to return to the maze 1 year later, older but also with more knowledge about the enemies and inner workings of the place. At the beginning of the game the hero is young and snappy, but as the game progresses, he will become wiser and akin to magic. This mechanism gives the title a roguelikeappearance, which will be combined with souls-likefights.
