CD Projekt RED today announced that an xbox-optimized Xbox Series X edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is in the works with improvements such as ray tracing, faster uploads, and so on, both for basic gaming and its expansions.

This next-gen edition of the title will be available in stores as a stand-alone game, but it will also come to those who already own the game as a free update.

For now, however, we do not know if this new edition of the title will be available at the launch of the new console or if we will have to wait longer to try it; we await news from the Polish studio.
