Developed for next-generation consoles by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Battle.net starting November 13, while playStation 5 and Xbox Series X are scheduled to arrive on The 2020 holidays, depending on when the consoles are available to the public.
In pure Black Opsstyle, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War blends the elements of 1980s pop culture into a mind-blowing conspiracy story, where deception and subterfuge are commonplace in the gripping single-player campaign. In this sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops,players will meet historical figures and discover harsh truths as they fight in iconic locations like East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet-era Moscow and more. As elite operators, players will try to end the course of a decades-long history as they follow in the footsteps of a dark figure called Perseus, on a mission to destabilize the balance of global power and change the course of history. In addition to the Campaign, Black Ops Cold War will offer an arsenal of Cold War-era weapons and equipment in the brand new Multiplayer Combat and a brand new Zombies co-op gaming experience.
The game offers cross-play support, in all modes, between current and next-generation systems with cross progression. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will also have a Battle Pass system and offer a steady stream of free post-launch content, including multiplayer maps and modes, Zombies experiences, and a packed program of in-game events for the community.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War supports and is also based on the free-to-play experience of Call of Duty: Warzone. In fact, Black Ops Cold War shares progression capabilities with Warzone, with new inventory items that can be used in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Warzone players will still have access to all the content of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, including previously earned weapon operators and projects.
