After last night's revelation of Gotham Knights,many were fan questions: is it a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight? Some elements seemed to match, but others did not match as the fact that Barbara Gordon could now walk and that her father, Commissioner Gordon, had died instead. The developers of WB Games Montreal are the only people who dispel these doubts.

A representative for the studio explained to the comicbook site that Gotham Knights is a completely original story and has no connection to the Arkham series; So we are not in theArkhamverse but in a new universe(Knightsverse?) created specifically for this game and inspired of course by comic series.

The study also revealed more details about the game's four protagonists, here are the following:

Batgirl,barbaraGordon, fights with determination and is an experienced hacker. She is the daughter of Gotham's late commissioner, Jim Gordon, and has helped Batman as Oracle in the past. Now, after years of training, she is ready to take on her new role by wielding a melee ton and leveraging her knowledge of kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu.

Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the first Robin, a disciple of Batman until he became a full hero himself. He is a natural leader and the oldest and wisest member of Batman's family. Nightwing's unsurpassed acrobatic skills are perfectly accompanied by the use of his inevitable Escrima sticks, making him a very fearsome opponent.

Red Hood,once called Jason Todd, is an intense and unpredictable antihero, who has been killed and brought back to life by one of Batman's most fearsome enemies. Red Hood easily loses the stirrups, but wouldn't hesitate a second to jump into the fray to save a friend in danger. His rigorous training has allowed him to achieve maximum performance in both combat techniques and the use of weapons, traditional or technological.

Robin is Tim Drake, the team's young prodigy and brainy. It is unparalleled in deductive reasoning. He has made Batman's mission his own and is motivated by the belief that Gotham City needs protection. He hopes to become the kind of hero Batman impersonated. Robin is an expert in the use of the folding stick and knows how to move stealthily, but he has also studied psychological warfare techniques and behavioral sciences.
