These days, members of Xbox One's Insider program (ring Alpha and Alpha Skip-ahead) have arrived in surprise, an app in high demand by fans: HDR Game Calibration,which allows OWNERS of a TV equipped with HDR to fine-tune the ranges of brightness and contrast of the screen, in order to improve the performance of all games.

If you have received the update you will have to do nothing but launch the app and follow the on-screen directions to find the optimal calibration of your HDR screen; Once this is done, however, we recommend, in the various games you use, to re-adjust the internal calibration in order to readjust it to the new levels of the image managed by the console. This way you should notice substantial improvements in the graphical rendering of all HDR-enabled games.

We don't know when this feature will be available to all users, but let's imagine it's part of the feature set that will come in the fall update along with the launch of Xbox Series X.
