Rumor: Avowed will be bigger than Skyrim, could come out at the end of 2022, first details

A user of the forum known as sponger has in fact released a series of information about the title stating that it has connections within Obsidian itself; This is not a user with a great resume regarding leaks, but he has been "accredited" by the well-known insider Klobrille, so it would seem reliable. Let's see what it revealed:
- Although the title does not mention it, Avowed is set in the pillars of Eternity universe, devised by Obsidian. However, the story will be unrelated to those of the isometric RPGs that have come out so far.
- The game will be completely open world and much larger than Skyrim (although, the user explains, it is a "width" not necessarily geographical but more at the level of "density", therefore with much richer and populated environments, and "contrast" between populated and wild areas, mountains, deserts and so on)
- The adventure will take place mainly in the Living Lands region of Eora, an island to the north dominated by an extremely changing climate, strange ferocious beasts and hundreds of valleys each of which hides quirks never seen before. A land that has always attracted criminals, fools and adventurers and that is home to a wide range of different races, among which the dwarves are present in greater quantities thanks to their innate curiosity and thirst for adventure.
- The game will focus heavily on the world's responsiveness, lighting and Artificial and Physical Intelligence (with a focus on the next generation of"magic systems")
- There will be a dynamic climate system; Fog will play a very important role in gameplay while rivers have a physical simulation system
- We can create our own character through an extremely advanced editor
- The game will have full support for mods: creation will only be possible on PCs, but they will all be usable on Xbox
- There will be many different factions
- It will be possible to have fellow adventurers (with a different system than the one seen in The Outer Worlds)
- In addition to the "common" enemies we will also meet real bosses, some of them really huge
- The gods will also have a role in the game
- The art team focused on creating memorable and easily recognizable locations, with statues and distinctive buildings
- There will be two huge cities, with smaller towns scattered around the map
- It will be possible to swim
- The dialogues will have a "dynamic" presentation
- Developers would like for now to allow players to kill anyone in the game if they want to; it's to be seen if they can do it without "breaking" the story
- The game has been in development for 2 years and 7 months, with 100 people employed so far, and is already in full production; The team will grow steadily over the course of development
- The expected release date is end of 2022/early 2023
