In the pre-show ahead of the live Xbox Games Showcase has already arrived the first "bomb": Square Enix has announced that the Dragon Quest series will arrive for the first time on Xbox with Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of a Lost Era - Definitive Edition, improved and expanded version of the title released on PS4 and PC in 2018.

Coming december 4 and included in the Xbox Game Pass,this chapter will bring us to experience the dangerous adventure of the Shining, a hunted hero who will have to discover the mystery of his own destiny with the help of a group of charismatic companions. The adventure will lead the group to cross continents and oceans, discovering a terrible threat to the world. In addition to more than 100 hours of content from the award-winning DRAGON QUEST® XI S: Echoes of a Lost Era,released in 2017, the Definitive Edition offers a wide range of enhancements, including:

• New Character Secondary Stories – Learn more about your fascinating companions through side stories and individual adventures
• Retro 2D Mode - In addition to fantastic 3D graphics, you can choose to play in 2D mode inspired by the classic 16-bit era GDRs
• The 16-bit world of Achronia – Travel to the worlds of previous DRAGON QUEST, packed with additional retro-style side quests
• Japanese Audio – Choose whether to take on the entire adventure with the new voiceover in Japanese or the original voiceover in English
• Orchestral Soundtrack – During your travels for Erdrea you can alternate the symphonic soundtrack with the original electronic soundtrack
• Photo Mode - Immortalize your adventure with the perfect shot. Arrange characters, choose between different poses, change the frame and pop with the many other options available in photo mode
