Square Enix today announced that, following the release of the current consoles on September 4 and the launch of Xbox Series X and PS5 X, the new Crystal Dynamics Marvel's Avengers action game will receive a free update to introduce specific improvements for these consoles, allowing buyers of the new platforms to enjoy it.

The publisher explains that the next-gen version of the game will enjoy quick loads thanks to the new SSDs, improved resolution and fidelity, texture and destruction of more detailed armor, ray tracing and much more. It has also been revealed that on PS5 the game will have an option to choose between "enhanced graphics" and "high frame-rate" modes, allowing players to choose between graphical effects and 60 fps; it is not yet clear whether this will be present on Xbox Series X or if, thanks to the greater power of the console, this will not be necessary.
