In the assassin's Creed Valhalla ad trailer revealed at the end of April, we see the protagonist (or the protagonist, if we choose a female character) Eivor attacking an enemy with the hidden blade typical of the Ubisoft series, with the difference this time that this time it does not seem too hidden, since it is mounted in plain sight on the forearm of the protagonist instead of being hidden under the wrist.

This did not go unnoticed by fans of the series, who asked Ubisoft for clarification: the response came in a tweet in which the game's storytelling director, Darby McDevitt, pointed out that the Vikings had a strong sense of honor and, if they were to kill someone, this had to be done in the most public and visible way possible, so that everyone knew that they had killed their enemy. On the basis of this, Eivor then thought to make sure that everyone could see the weapon with which he would assassinate his enemies.

An interesting explanation, however, that contrasts sharply with the stealth mechanics that have always been one of the elements of the series: maybe in Assassin's Creed Valhalla we will find a more direct gameplay without many opportunities for silent kills?
