Epic Games Announces Unreal Engine 5 and Shows It in a Long Tech Demo
The demo, rather than the showmanship of the images (past tech demos like thisone, this one and this one from the UE4 or this one from the Unity Engine showed a more "next-gen" graphic), focused on how the new engine will make it easier for developers to work with a whole range of tools that automate tasks that now require a lot of work for development teams: things like reducing the polygonal complexity of objects, the adaptation of texture resolution, the creation of contextual animations and many other functions that today we see best use only by the most capable teams, tomorrow will be within the reach of all developers, even the smallest, who will be able to create visually stunning titles.
Of course, beyond that, the demo is still impressive with very detailed environments, realistic lighting and lots of small touches of class: rate yourself in the following movie!
