Yakuza: Like a Dragon will arrive at the launch of Xbox Series X and show itself in video

During the Xbox live SEGA announced that Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the seventh episode of the Yakuzaseries, will be released on Xbox Series X and Xbox One at the console's release, with full support for Smart Delivery.

This means that players who purchase the Xbox One version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be eligible for a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version. The cross-savefeature between Xbox One and Xbox Series X is also supported, so no matter when players decide to upgrade, they'll never have to start over.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a story about fighting for what you believe in, even when you've hit rock bottom. Our new main protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, a member of a low-ranking yakuza family, is accused of a crime he did not commit to protect his patriarch and father figure, Masumi Arakawa. After serving an 18-year prison sentence, he returns to society to discover that the clan to which he once belonged has been destroyed, the few remaining members are driven out on the streets and discovers that his former patriarch could be the man responsible for everything. Faced with unimaginable pain for betrayal, loss and confusion, he wants to discover the truth. This is where the story of Yakuza: Like a Dragon begins.

Along with the brand new cast and setting, Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces a new dynamic RPG combat system that takes the genre to a place it's never been before - the current Japan. Ichiban is a diehard RPG fan, so to help him stay focused in the fights, imagine the battlefield as if he were living in one of his favorite games. In Yakuza: Like a Dragon, players will be able to climb to level 19 of different "Jobs", different from those of traditional RPGs - not warriors or wizards, but bodyguards and musicians, with absolutely unique strengths and abilities.

Even with so many changes, Yakuza: Like a Dragon still maintains Yakuza's core experience, thanks to the almost endless amount of hilarious mini-games and sub-series scattered throughout the city. Over 50 side quests and a collection of never-before-seen mini-games, including fan favorites like Karaoke and SEGA Arcades, that will give players the most fun in Yokohama.

Great news for lovers of the Japanese series, obviously hoping that until then the missing episodes on Xbox One will also be released! We'll leave you to the trailer showing the game on the next Microsoft console.
