Despite recently being released on THE Xbox One remake of Resident Evil 3, it seems Capcom is already thinking about the new Resident Evil 8 starring,according to rumours leaked so far, RE7's already-known Ethan Winters.

The news comes from the website Biohazard Cast, which quotes a reliable source according to which the full title of the game will be Resident: VIllage, with the word "Village" (village) which includes a capital I and two l after the V to form the Roman number "VIII", that is 8. This title would also reveal the setting of the title, that is to say an ancient European village characterized by the presence of the witch that we have already met in the last chapter of the saga (the one that had taken possession of the poor Marguerite Baker and who, when threatened, defends herself by spitting insects).

According to the source of the site, this new chapter would see the return of Chris Redfield,but here he would be painted as a kind of villain through a series of flashbacks that see him perform deplorable acts in that village.

Another element that would seem to characterize the new chapter of the saga, would be the presence of hallucinations experienced by our protagonist, which would aim to make it more difficult to distinguish what is real from what is not and consequently also the people we can trust.

Finally, it would seem that inventory-related mechanics are also set to change: developers are in fact working on inventory management that is a mix of what's seen in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 7.
