Microsoft revealed today that, given the large influx of traffic on Xbox Live that has made the service tap record peaks, to allow the moderation team to do its best work with all new users have for now disabled the functions of uploading profile pictures and custom club backgrounds.

Whenever you upload one of these custom images, the Xbox Live moderation team checks them to make sure they meet the service guidelines; Now, however, the team is committed to moderating the increased influx of messages and reports from Live users, so Microsoft has decided to keep them focused on this activity by disabling the upload of custom images and then canceling the moderation work that these entail.
