Ninja Theory today announced the addition of a new fighter to the Bleeding Edgeroster: it's Mekko,a super-intelligent Japanese dolphin that makes its way into the arena thanks to an exoskeleton-aquarium that keeps him alive, which in the game makes him a Ranged Tank class character.

Mekko arrives just in time for the game's second Closed Beta, expected on March 13 and open to Game Pass pre-orders and subscribers, so we can try it out before launch. The study is also revealed that at the launch of the game on March 24, so it will not be in the Beta, will also come a new map, the Mexican Landslide.

History

A long time ago in 2047, a small dolphin called Mekko was born. More adorable than a puppet, the awake-eyed mini-mammal and the split tail had a whole life ahead of him.

A life of captivity and torture, as the living property of an evil corporation that has slowly changed it into a biological sonic weapon. The only survivor of experiments on binary communication to cause destruction and agony. This would be his only purpose in life, just like the rest of the ocean experiments locked up around him. Oh yes!

Mekko was doomed. Why Mekko? Crazy Mekko. BAD HUMANS!

But not all humans are evil, and Bleeding Edge was proof of that. They would save the chatty pinnuto and put an end to all the crazy aquatic bionic operations.

But Mekko is confused. Mekko ODIA humans. But the new humans are... his family.

So, as this strange pack of misfits tried to take revenge on H.A., Mekko's new life of insults and fights was beginning.

BASIC SKILLS

• SONAR GUN - Shoot enemies all the time.
• BUBBLE BLOCK - Protect yourself with a shield bubble. The damage absorbed fuels the passive Power Orbs.
• POWER ORBS - Absorb damage with Bubble Block, generate Power Orbs. Spend orbs while performing special abilities for additional effects.

Special

• LIFELINE - Link a Lifeline to an ally. Mekko absorbs a percentage of the damage done by opponents. Activate it again to wrap the ally. With the : guarantees a shield to the target.
• SAFETY ZONE - Plot a Safety Zone that gives Mekko and his allies vital protection and suck. With the : reduces the care received for enemies within the area.
• SURGE - Jumps forward, hitting enemies in its path. With : it also generates health as you move.

Super

• SONIC BARRAGE - Blocks enemies with sonic waves, dealing massive damage and repelling them.
• EXCLUSION BUBBLE - Trap an enemy in a bubble. Enemies in the bubble can't take damage, but members of their team can destroy the bubble.
