Deep Silver announced today that Metro Exodus'slong-awaited second DLC, titled Sam's Story,will arrive onFebruary 11 and will be available for single purchase or included in the game'sExpansion Pass. This expansion will follow a new protagonist:former U.S. Marine Sam,a Spartan Ranger who has worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear devastation of Moscow and followed Artyom in search of a world off the subway.

Sam had long dreamed of returning home and perhaps finding his father alive. The prospect seemed impossible in the dark subway tunnels, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, having hope was no longer so foolish.

Sam, determined to find a way back to the United States, set off from the Aurora to make his way through the vladivostok tsunami-ravaged ports, ruined industrial buildings, and dilapidated neighborhoods. However, to complete his journey, Sam will discover that he needs every tactic he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove to be much more hostile than expected.

This DLC will add "survival sandbox" elements by introducing new characters, weapons and mutant variants into a huge, freely exploreable environment that will offer several hours of gameplay.
