Now that Black Friday is over, it's time to pull the strings and it looks like Microsoft can boast a win, at least in the UK: industry website gamesindustry.biz reports that, last week, Xbox One is the console that sold the most units in the UK, narrowly beating the Nintendo Switch which came in second place.

This excellent result is obviously due to the excellent discounted price of the Xbox One S All Digital,which until a few days ago was available for purchase at the Tesco chain and at a price of 129.99 euros (about 150 euros) at other stores. Prices are higher than seen in other European countries, but enough to convince the British people to throw themselves into the 'deal'.

Is it just a momentary exploit or Microsoft's new, low-cost, reader-free console is starting to make inroads into the most price-conscious audience? And will the same happen in other countries? We'll keep you informed.
