Just three months after the previous confirmation on the development of NBA Live 20,Electronic Arts announced today that the new episode of its basketball series will no longer see the light of day, citing as the reason for this choice the lack of success that the series has levied in recent years on the public.

At this point it is reasonable to expect that, as unlikely future resurrections are made, the series is now definitively dead, leaving NBA 2K as the sole dominator of the video game parquet. Beyond the qualities or flaws of NBA Live, this is definitely bad news if only because the competition pushes everyone to constantly improve, while in this way we could also see the series of Take-Two Interactive "relax" in the absence of direct competition.
