Rumor: Project Scarlett will have a high-quality webcam, focus on streamers
According to the developer, both Microsoft and Sony will equip their next-generation consoles with a high-quality camera designed to facilitate the transmission of player image alongside their gameplay. Xbox One already allows the use of PC webcams for the same purpose, but it seems that the camera in design at Microsoft will have a very high quality - we talk about 4K with a latency of only two frames - and will also be able to produce real-time stil effects and Snapchat that can also change based on the events of the game.
This is at least what the developers are receiving along with the Dev-kits of Project Scarlett, but it is not known if this camera will then be sold along with the console or if it will be a separate accessory; But we think Microsoft doesn't want to make the same mistake by including the Kinect at the Xbox One launch, so it's probably going to be an accessory.
It's interesting, however, that Sony and Microsoft have had the same idea and are both producing streamer-oriented cameras for upcoming consoles; that the two platforms end up being more similar to each other than you think? Gizmodo's whistleblower, however, says that both upcoming consoles will present the biggest computational leap to date in a generational transition: how to say that the power difference between Xbox One X and Project Scarlett will be bigger than between Xbox 360 and Xbox One, or between your first Xbox and Xbox 360.
For now, of course, everything remains in the reamen of unconfirmed rumours; we await more news to understand how true there may be!
