Bandai Namco announced at TGS that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will also include the very recent narrative arc of Wa Country,unveiled just two months ago in the original anime. Since the history of Wa's land is still ongoing, the game will include an original reimagining of the adventure so as not to "spoil" anything to the lovers of the anime; This trip will feature all the settings typical of the country of Wa and will see the Straw Hat crew face the most terrible and deadly threat ever.

Two additional playable characters have also been confirmed:
