Microsoft has announced a new free weekend for all Xbox Live Gold season ticket holders to enjoy the usual Free PlayDays. Avalanche Studios Generation Zero's open world survival game from today until 8:59 a.m. on Monday, August 26.

As always, the free game days will allow you to try the title in its entirety and keep any progress made during the weekend in case you decide to buy the full title that for the occasion receives a discount of the 30% on the full price and can be purchased for 27.99 euros.

Released last March, Generation Zero is set in the 1980s in a revisited version of the quiet Swedish countryside overrun by hostile machines: the player will have to reject them, alone or with three other friends online, taking advantage of techniques of guerrilla warfare in battle, attracting, damaging or destroying enemies in intense sandbox battles.
