Independent studio Paranoid Productions today announced that the stealth game The Church in the Darkness is finally ready to arrive on our consoles: the title will be released next week, August 2.

The game sees us impersonate an ex-policeman busy infiltrating an American extremist religious community in search of his nephew, attracted to community leaders through manipulation and persuasion techniques as for everyone else guests of the place.

Although the setting and the view from above wouldn't make you think, The Church in the Darkness is actually inspired by the most famous stealth titles released so far by making us mechanical not only to sneak unnoticed but also disguises to confuse us within the community and of course also ways to take out anyone who gets in our way, both lethal and non-lethal.
