Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines 2 presents us the Machiavellian Ventrue
The blood of the rulers flows in the veins of the Ventrue. Once they used to enlist priests and aristocmen, they now recruit bankers and corporate executives. The members of the "Clan of Kings" are considered to be architects of the Vampire Society and have at heart especially the lineage and loyalty. The Seattle Ventrue were attracted by the desire to build their own power structure without the supervision of older generations. Now that the Camarilla has taken control of the city, many Ventrue have realigned themselves to join these new rulers or have doubled their autonomy. The enterprised Ventrue have entrened themselves in the affairs of the XXI century, paving the way for a prosperous future, becoming enemies of anyone who prefers old habits.
The Ventrue are the guardians of Masquerade and princes. Using their distinctive, dominateddiscipline, the Ventrue can gain the power to control actions and manipulate the memories of others. Fortitude is the discipline of the physical resistance of the ventrue and allows them to survive their enemies.
Dominated
- Mesmerize: Allows the Ventrue to place a PNG in a short hypnotic trance. The person so affected is unaware of the world around her; It ignores the sound, the touch and even the pain.
- Command: Significantly extends the control of the Ventrue on the hypnotized PNG. They can ask them to move, remove obstacles or even attack others.
The use of dominated powers does not go against the rules of Masquerade.
Fortitude
- Absorb: Allows vampires to take a short defensive stance through which they can divert all attacks they can see, taking care of their wounds for any potential attack.
- Personal Armor: Strengthens the vampire's skin by transforming it into a stone-like barrier.
Allowing a mortal to attend your Fortitude attack is a violation of the Masquerade.
