After only 4 days after the launch, Resident Evil 2 has already reached an incredible result by distributing more than 3 million copies around the world across all platforms. Actually the figure does not reflect at copies sold to players, because it combines both digital sales than those made to stores, which may or may not have sold to end users. For Capcom this is actual sales that decreed the success of this operation by remake.

To better understand this first result, considering that Resident Evil 7: biohazard has reached 3 million copies distributed only after 12 days after its launch, while the entire saga has recorded on the date of January 28, more than 88 million of copies from the debut of the first title took place way back in 1996. The original Resident Evil 2 released in 1998 had reached 4,960,000 copies sold, finishing in fourth place among the titles of the famous horror saga.

Given the interest and the expectation on the part of gaming against the remake of Resident Evil 2, these data may not arouse astonishment, but we commend Capcom for this first milestone and for the excellent work done so far.
