It is well known that the implementation through new scenarios or features on a patch game come to carve progressively the size of the file, and the same happened over time with the expansions of Sea of Thieves , who went to weighing it down, from time to time, the overall size of the game on our hard drive.

If the title at launch it weighed just over 10 GB, today, thanks to the continuous evolution of the gaming experience, arrived in almost 50 GB on Xbox One X.

Rare, however, has some good news: the team revealed to be working on a new version of the game which promises a downsizing of its weight by about 50% download. According to what stated by manufacturer Executive Joe Neate, this new version of Sea of Thieves will arrive on 6 February 2019 .

Having regard to the nature of the change, the upgrade will require you to redownload the game and will introduce, in addition to the drastic reduction in size, even a performance improvement in some areas as a result of the lower weight of the elements that they are composed, and therefore the memory footprint and the time required to upload them.

• Xbox One: From 35 GB to 10 GB
• Xbox One X: From 47 GB to 25 GB
• Windows 10: From 47 GB 27 GB
