On the occasion of Fun & Serious Festival held a couple of weeks ago in Bilbao, Spain, Rare revealed that important changes are coming for the mission system and history/lore of Sea of Thieves . The executive producer Joe Neate, present at the event, explained that the team knew as the title was more suitable for players "creatives" and willing to create their own adventures, but who want to satisfy those looking for a more linear story with precise guidelines to follow in the missions.

This is why the software house established a team exclusively in developing a new system of quests that revolve around history and lore of the game world, tailored to suit players who want more adventures " classic ".

The update that introduces these improvements should initially be the fourth of the series, but after realizing the potential of these new features Rare decided to give more time to the team to develop and deepen every aspect of the new quest system, moving it later in 2019 and deciding instead to release as the fourth update the PVP Arena update coming in the next few months.

Regardless of when the update comes, however, like to know that Rare and Microsoft continue to invest heavily in this charming title, which so far has had many players and, hopefully, with the new update is able to capture even more. Happy surfing!
