After having announced a crossover event to bring The Witcher Geralt of Rivia 3, Capcom revealed Iceborne expansion, which will arrive on Monster Hunter: World during the fall 2019. Iceborne is the first major expansion of the game and will add a series of innovations, expanding the game world with a snow scene, new missions and a new story that takes place after the events in the main game.

Iceborne will also add a new degree of missions that would be G Rank , a level higher than the High Rank , that will give players the opportunity to receive unique rewards that match the level of difficulty of the monsters that will face; will eventually add new monsters, moves, places and equipment. More details on the new expansion will be revealed during the next spring.

Capcom announced a free trial version of Monster Hunter: World that will give the opportunity to those who have not yet played the title, give it a try for a limited period of time, namely from 00:00 of 12 December and until 23:59 of 17 December 2018 . The test will allow you to play the initial section of the full Monster Hunter: World and will provide the story and almost all missions, armor and improvements up to grade 3 and 4 star Hunter. You can also transfer the save data in the full version if you choose to purchase a copy of the game.
