Supermassive Games continues to speak to us of The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan in a new dev diary

Bandai Namco has released the second part of the first dev diary of The Dark Pictures: Man Of Medan where the development team of Supermassive Games once again explains the elements that led to the creation of Ghost ship and in particular how they managed to make the atmosphere tense and terrifying.

The audio Director Barney Pratt talks about the "personality" of the ship which remains as a crucial element of the game and is always in the spotlight constantly communicating with the player through characteristic noises both inside and, as various crunches present, and outside data from noise of the waves.

The production designer Lee Robinson talks about the feelings that the ship itself must arouse the player that, in proceeding with the game, must feel a sense of dread. The atmosphere is characterised by lights popping and glaze over and to increase the realism of noise effects chains were inserted, smoke and fog typical of horror movies.

The artistic director Robert Craig explains instead ship scenarios consisting of particular areas such as narrow hallways and how have been exploited to bring out the characters through different visuals.

We leave you to your movie, sottotitolto in Italian, and we remind you that The Dark Pictures: Man Of Medan is one of a series of thriller/horror anthology games that there will arise each time stories, settings and characters and is coming out of physical and digital stores in 2019.
