Obsidian suggests the announcement of a new title on The Game Awards
But what it will be? First we clarify that it won't be an Xbox exclusive . Prior to its acquisition by Microsoft, in fact, Obsidian Entertainment already had an agreement with Take-Two Interactive to produce a new multiplatform game most likely (though some speak of a title exclusively for PC). And Phil Spencer of Microsoft has already officially confirmed that Microsoft will honor all existing contracts at the studios, without imposing limitations resulting securities platform.
Having clarified this, let's try to speculate what it could be. Obsidian has already made it clear in the past that their new title will be (of course) an RPG, and the images shown in a retro-space science fiction seem to suggest countdown to Buck Rogers. As if that weren't enough, it has already been revealed officially that the story of the game is made by the authors of the very first Fallout, Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, while it seems that the title game could be The Outer Worlds . Either way, it won't be a AAA production: the game is in production for the new label of Take-Two Interactive Private Division , which was created to publish more indie titles.
Whatever it is, we'll find out in just over a week; waiting here are images related to the project appeared on the site Obsidian.
