Rumor: the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 will last over 60 hours
During a long chat with the site, Houser has explained that the final version of the game were cut for the content they deemed unconvincing, and in doing so revealed the total length of the title:
" The acting for the story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 is now over, but as we get closer to launch day, five of the 65 hours of play have been ruled out. At some point in history the protagonist Arthur Morgan had two amorous Affairs, but we decided that one of them didn't work, and entire missions were removed because they would never have worked technically or were not sufficiently slides, or they just seemed superfluous. We also removed a mission on a train in which we were dealing with bounty hunters, because at first it seemed fun but in the end it wasn't. "
This tells us that the story of the game will last about 60 hours , but for now it is unclear whether that term also includes side-quests, nonetheless integral parts of global history, or whether it is related only to the main story. We'll find out soon: there are less than two weeks to release, scheduled for October 26 !
