During the Gamescom, 505 Games announced that Underworld Ascendant -first-person action-RPG that offers itself as a spiritual sequel to the legendary Ultima Underworld of early years ' 90-has been in development for console where it will come next year after exit PC scheduled for next November.

Underworld Ascendant is developed by studio OtherSide Entertainment by Paul Neurath (Director of development of both Ultima Underworld and its sequel, Thief ) and Warren Spector ( Deus Ex , Epic Mickey ), and there will return to the Stygian Abyss Theater of the adventures of the two original games. In the game we will assume the role of " The Ascendant ," and we will be summoned in the Stygian Abyss from a mysterious figure, Cabirus. Here we will find that we are the only ones who can stop Typhon, a threat to both worlds that we will have to defeat uncovering secrets about what has happened to the inhabitants of the Abyss, earn the trust of their descendants and share knowledge and powers them.

The game will offer an experience that encourages different playing styles and rewards experimentation in an environment fraught with danger and intrigue, which reacts dynamically to the player's choices. Players can choose from a variety of tools and skills that will enable them to deal with the gaming experience in a variety of ways, and have to think creatively to devise ingenious solutions to overcome challenges that will face in the Abyss, where every decision can bring great opportunities but also serious consequences.
