Microsoft announced that action and adventure games with RPG elements Overlord and Overlord II Xbox 360 respectively in 2007 and published in 2009, are backwards compatible on the Xbox One. In the series Overlord the player controls the Overlord, a "Prince of darkness" whose job is to bring ruin and destruction in the world, instead of the Canon hero.
