The gameplay of Outer Wilds shows itself at E3

In addition to the interesting trailer released just before E3, the space adventure Outer Wilds has also shown during the event with footage of a few minutes in which the developers have explained the mechanics of the title. As you may recall if you've been following the news about the game, the solar system of Outer Wilds will be fully explored, but is trapped in a loop of 20 minutes: think of a condensed version of the film Groundhog Day .

This means that our game will reset every 20 minutes, bringing us to the opening scene in which we are near a campfire, roasting marshmallows together with an alien. How will then progress in the game? Is very simple: you will progress in terms of knowledge, needed to bring forward adventure.

All you'll find out in the game will not be forgotten to reset of 20 minutes, and will remain stored in our Digital Diary; the whole story of the game is structured so that, in order to progress from planet to planet, will have certain information, and then just having obtained to skip entire parts of 20 minutes to reset the game and continue from where we left off. Developers make us an example: in the first world the aim is to be able to ramp up the spaceship which we will then travel in the solar system, but this requires a pass code that we don't have. Exploring the planet and interacting with the residents will get progressively more information until we can get the unlock code of the spaceship. Got this, the next reset will no longer explore the planet but we can directly jump to the ship and reach in a few seconds the next planet, and so on.

The game certainly looks interesting, and for all those who watched the Conference will be a pleasure to play Xbox on Mixer for free thanks to MixPot live; We leave you now to the gameplay.
