Xbox One: Microsoft explains what it is and how it works the FastStart
Today we learn a little more about this technology, which stems directly from the new research on artificial intelligence that mentioned Phil Spencer.
The FastStart is a technology designed to allow us to play before the titles while you are downloading; Unlike existing technology "ready to play", which requires that the developers themselves develop the games so they are playable at some point during the download (and often with limited features, such as only the editor of the characters or the first mission), FastStart uses machine learning (AI) to identify which files are which serve first in the execution of the game, making them so download first and making the game available before the completion of the Download.
Microsoft says this cuts of 50% the waiting to play a title after you have started to download; the download itself won't be faster, but you can play before you even if the developers did not make the game compatible with the "ready to play".
However, there is a "but". At least in the initial phase of this technology, it will be applied only to some games the Game Pass and only at their English versions , this means that for games in Italian we must still wait. This is due to the fact that machine learning algorithms that need large amounts of usage of the games in order to calibrate to the fullest, and when English-speaking players are those that provide larger quantities of these data.
Once launched the system, however, we will check if any game will use even by us and we will inform you.
