As we had surmised this morning, Rare has just announced an Open Beta of Sea of Thieves called Final Beta : the new beta is already accessible by everyone, you don't need to be an Insider but you can download it from the Store trying for "Sea of Thieves Beta" or from this page (don't worry if it is referred to as Closed Beta: it is still the Final).

This beta, which as it is only available on weekends till Sunday 11, 11:00 will be the most populated so far and ask developers so bear with us if there are problems logging in or during the game, because the purpose of the test is also to collect data on these issues and make sure that the launch runs smoothly.

The Final Beta will also include several news: there will be a new airline Alliance of Merchants , we will entrust missions of collecting and transporting cattle (be careful not to let them die on the trip!) and most importantly we will test Strong Skeletal, real PVP/PVE events that will see more crews storming of Islands full of skeletons and treasures. This will also be the first time that we will be able to test the upgrades for Xbox One X in the game.
