The head of marketing Xbox Aaron Greenberg revealed during a live Mixer that during The Game Awards , the annual show which will be attended by many games both new and familiar, will be revealed some news on Sea of Thieves .

The pirate title of Rare starts to conclude just this month the long stage of Alpha testing, with a final session planned in December which will be admitted to all users who have signed up before the day yesterday, December 1.

The latter test session will introduce some new features compared to what we've seen so far, and after this the team will begin to work hard for the official release of the game expected by spring 2018. The news of The Game Awards could thus be relative to the last test session, or there may be revealed some of the features that we will find in the final game (like the campaigns and other methods exist). Or even might be revealed the official launch date.
