Please note that this does not mean that you can give to other games that you have already purchased and redeemed à, but simply that you can buy on the Live of download codes of games that you can send to anyone you want.

You will then buy a game in the Store with a friend on Live or an email address; to purchase finished, the recipient of your gift will come a message on Live (if you have set a friend Live as a recipient) or an email with a code to redeem the game. The code can then be transferred and redeemed by others, as possible with any Live code.

Most of the games and DLC on Live are so from now available for purchase as a gift, but are excluded from this orders, titles backwards compatible and "consumables", namely currency packages for games with microtransactions. The codes that are generated with this system are also region locked: you can make a gift to a friend, but not Italian or EU you can for example give games to American or Japanese users.
