LTdM the shadow of war: Digital Foundy shows us the different settings on Xbox One X
The most interesting information that emerges from the video, and that had not been revealed earlier by Warner Bros, is that the game will have on Xbox One X dynamic resolution selector: If this is unchecked, the game will go to 4 k native mode you prefer fixed resolution ", as in" would you rather "the game will have a fixed resolution of 1980p, that is 3520x1980, not too far from the 3840x2160 of 4 k. This rotary switch turned off, but it will prevent the game to scale the resolution in very heavy scenes, leading to more visible slowdowns. On the other hand, instead, by enabling dynamic resolution, "would you rather" resolution the game will almost always in 4 k, as in "would you rather" will swing around the 1980p and on rare occasions with scenes more remains will also 4 k full.
But what will change, put to the test and beyond resolution, between resolution and quality? The texture quality remains high in both cases, thanks to the excellent bandwidth and memory of the console which allows you to use asset 4 k without performance impact. What quality mode is a better use of shadows, a greater viewing distance and a better texture filtering, which ultimately makes the picture more pleasant to behold; the video offers us some good comparisons between the two modes and the same journalist of DF States that, in his view, the way that gives more satisfaction in the game is the "would you rather" with dynamic resolution enabled. This setting will be very desirable if you play on a full HD TV, since you will have a quality definitely longer than the game on Xbox One base, combining both the benefits of supersampling without loss of resolution (the game will always be scaled in 1080 p regardless of the resolution) and the improved graphics.
But it's not just fun and games: DF has in fact identified a single particular scene, full of fighting and explosions, that regardless of how you set down the framerate of the game up to 20 fps. The journalist has, however, explained that he tried an old build of the title, dating at Gamescom, and therefore it is possible that the area was not yet optimized for consoles. We will have to await the arrival of final patch for Xbox One X to see if these issues there will still be, and DF will itself further analysis when this will happen.
