The head of Microsoft's Xbox and gaming activities, Phil Spencer , revealed that after Fable II and Fable III , even Fable Anniversary will be added to the title list backwards compatible on the Xbox One . Microsoft is still working to make it backwards compatible this remastered version of the first Fable , released in 2015 on Xbox 360.

Edition of the game for the first Xbox, Fable Anniversary included a series of graphical improvements compared to original title as new textures and a new lighting system, plus the addition of objectives and all content the expansion The Lost Chapters.
