Microsoft revealed today a new major update to Xbox One aimed to make major changes to the interface of the console, with the aim of making it fast and easy to use thanks to the adoption of the new Microsoft Fluent Design visual language and, above all, provide it with important customization features.

The new update, which will arrive at all in the autumn, is on sale now (if you haven't received it will come during the night) for Insider in Alpha Ring of the program Preview, so if you can put it immediately to the test. Here are all the news included.

Customizing the console main screen: Home, Home, has now been changed to be fully customizable and allow us to have on hand all the things we care most about. For example, if we have a game or a favorite friend, we can now add it to the Home by selecting it and pressing the Menu button and choosing "add to Home": this will create a new block of content that can be moved up or down in the section Home based on its importance, in which we will present all activities of that friend or all news related to that game. In the coming months will be added other types of blocks of content, so we imagine that we can add to the Home Club to keep an eye on specific tasks, or a block dedicated to the goals or even a particular Channel Mixer that we want to keep under control.

New navigation for driving: vertical sections disappear with this update of the Guide, the area that appears on the left of the screen by pressing the Xbox button, in favour of a system of horizontal tab. Now all the Friends icon, goals, groups, Home and so on have been moved to the top of the screen and switch from one to the other is much faster: just use the shoulder buttons, on the D-Pad or the left stick, mimicking the same type of interface on the Xbox 360 Guide. Even the contents of the various help areas have been reorganized to allow us to have an eye on all the most important information.

A Community more immersive: Now the area Community has a new design meant to show us more content, all of which can be expanded to full screen for more details. Also read the comments will be easier with the ability to expand the area of comments . News feeds of player profiles and Club Game Hub, were aligned to this design. It will now be easier to see what Club we do already part and which ones might be interested to follow.

These are the new features of the update now available to members in the coming months, but the Alpha Ring Insiders to come than others: the revamped features Avatar will be one of these, but there will be other surprises, all to find the console and its operating system in the best shape to launch Xbox One X!
