It passed a few days from the announcement by Straight Up Films , the company that is working on the completion of the film Thief , development of the fifth installment in the series, through the film page on their official website. Today, David Anfossi , Chief of Eidos Montreal and responsible for the implementation of the fourth installment in the series (the Thief of 2014), however, has wanted to make things clear.

"Apparently we are developing Thief 5! So now we have a title ... We just have to build a team, a budget ... Forget it! " he joked through a Tweet .

Anfossi has therefore wanted to clarify that there is no new Thief in development at Eidos Montreal; following this, from the official movie page on the website of Straight Up Films passed away the offending phrase. Those who hoped the announcement of a new Thief must then wait again!
