Project Scorpio: Windows Central shows us the rendering differences between Xbox One and Scorpio
They are two different groups of comparative images: the first group, based on the image of a heroine in a steampunk lab, shows us the improvements that a game can have on Project Scorpio retaining the same asset Xbox One version. In this case the improvements are related to higher resolution, with reduction of aliasing, or keeping the 1080 p resolution to reduce aliasing by supersampling technique (i.e. internal rendering to 4 k and subsequent scaling to 1080 p). In these cases we can see how, in addition to a reduction of aliasing, there is also a greater clarity of textures.
The second image instead of a yellow Ladybug on the petals of a flower, showing the advantages that you will have by harnessing the power of the console by adding additional asset in 4 k, geometries and effects. This picture shows the Project image, Scorpio more realism with additional details as the hair on the legs of the animal and better lighting model.
There are images here because to be seen directly on the original site , preferably with high resolution monitor PC/quality (preferably 4 k, of course) and using the slider on the same site to see the changes between versions. Don't try to see it from your smartphone or low resolution screens: you would notice very little difference.
You can get to the article by clicking here , and if you are unfamiliar with English will explain what they show three different "pictures with slider":
- Image 1 (steampunk girl): comparison between Xbox One 1080 p (left) and Scorpio 4 k (right)
- Image 2 (steampunk girl): comparison between Xbox One 1080 p (left) and Scorpio 1080 p with supersampling by 4 k (right)
- Image 3 (Ladybug): comparison between Project Scorpio 4 k with asset and rendering "Xbox One" and Project 4 k 4 k and asset smart rendering with Scorpio
Good vision!
