Here's the list of features included in the update:
- A new Home: The Home screen of the console changes its look with a series of changes, first of which is the removal of the big screen showing the running game, which also aims to improve the overall performance of your dashboard. There are also many other tweaks designed to improve navigation on the main screen of the console.
- Drive faster and intuitive: The Guide (the sidebar that appears by clicking on the Xbox) has undergone a major update so that we can have all the features at your fingertips while you play, without returning to the Home. First time just press the Xbox button once to open it (and from there go to the Home if you wish), and will appear superimposed on the screen of the game in progress. From here you can access games, apps and any other console features. Also introduced the ability to more easily control the music in the background and more video control options registered with the Game DVR.
- Removing apps side by side: Apps that first worked side-by-side won't be able to hack it anymore now, but at the same time it introduces a "overlapping" mode that will allow app (which must implement this feature) to position of Windows on the screen. The first to do so are the goals, with a track of our Achievements, Cortana and Beam.
- Integration Beam: One of the most important new features of the update is the integration with Beam, which will allow you to start at any time a stream Beam rail, which your friends can follow is using the new console and PC apps on the site, Beam .
- New accessibility features : Feature as the Copilot, which allows two players to control the same game using two controllers (useful for example to help children or disabled players) and improvements to the Magnifier and Narrator will improve the experience for all players.
- Limit Screen time: Parents can now set daily limits, with bands day by day, for use of the console on behalf of their children. Settings apply on the site microsoft.com/family and the console will follow immediately.
- Bitstream passthrough for the Blu-ray player: For super high fidelity enthusiasts, now the Blu-ray player supports audio passthrough bitstream that allows the amplifiers that support it to play audio in high quality uncompressed. This feature will be enabled for all next week.
We leave you now with a video that shows us the features of the update, and remember, that if it does not get applied automatically, you can start it from the system settings.
