During an interview with the site GameRan t, the creative director of The Division Julian Gerighty said that the team plans to release over the next 12 months two totally free expansions to the game.

The focus of the first of two expansions, whose release is planned for this summer, will be to create activities that lead to greater socialization between players: Gerighty explains then that will feature an outline of events for the PvE game where players are rewarded both for participating, that for competition and for completeness, thus defining a completely different way of playing.

The first expansion will therefore be characterised by a structure where it will be predominant the PvE , but do not exclude the possibility that in a future activity could be included on PvP.
