Rumor: Scalebound is in trouble, you may be cancelled
Update : the news is now official, found confirmation in this news .
Original reporting: The site has received word from multiple sources, which have stated that it is only a matter of days before Microsoft makes an official announcement. Unfortunately the site is not much further and informants do not explain in what problems the game development has incurred, but already disappointing demonstration of last E3 we had made it clear that some problems there might be. The news was also corroborated by the well-known insider shinobi602, whom he claimed to have received him this news a week ago.
When questioned about it by Kotaku, Microsoft has now closed behind a no comment, saying only, " we will soon have more to say about Scalebound ". In the meantime, however, the game's promotional page that until recently was present on Xbox.com now links to the home site. Not a good sign.
Eurogamer also confirms the news citing their sources, and giving us a few more details: apparently in autumn 2016 relations between Microsoft and Platinum plummeted because, stressed from deadlines looming and the large amount of work, several senior members of the team took a month off. These are then returned to work on the game, but it was now clear that the development had undergone too many delays, and could not continue. According to sources of Eurogamer both companies have concluded collaboration to end 2016, and development of the game has now stopped.
That the long-awaited exclusive Xbox One is truly destined to fail, leaving a major void in 2017 Xbox One line-up and Project Scorpio? Stay tuned for any updates.
