Mass Effect Andromeda has a date: March 23
By Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare
On behalf of our teams in Montreal, Edmonton and Austin, are thrilled to announce that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in North America and from Thursday March 23, 2017 in Europe. We appreciate the patience you have shown (we apologize for having kept in suspense for so long!) while we were committed to complete the game. Here are some tidbits on the development of our title.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is the most ambitious of any game in the saga of Mass Effect. Presents numerous innovations in terms of stories, characters, planets, races and gameplay mechanics. For the first time ever, the Frostbite engine is used for a Mass Effect game, scoring an incredible improvement chart than the first trilogy. We have taken the time to offer all this and ensure the best possible gaming experience.
During the holidays, BioWare's developers have taken home a version of the game that we nicknamed "Christmas build." It is a consolidated tradition for our study, since the days of the first Mass Effect. Many take the opportunity to try the game for free on PC or console. The feedback we received upon returning from vacation was awesome. Obtain approval of important members of our study, many of whom have made a fundamental contribution to the first trilogy, was essential to formalize the release date of the game.
Note the enthusiasm from the community over the past few months since we started to provide more details about the game, it was even more exciting. It is this incredible passion Mass Effect fans to motivate us. Now, five years after the final chapter of the saga, you have to wait just a few months to immerse themselves in the brand new experience of Mass Effect, even richer and deeper than in the past. The Mass Effect universe is more alive than ever and ready for new adventures. We can only hope that lives up to the enormous expectations of fans.
See you in Andromeda,
Aaryn
