During The Game Awards 2016, Psyonix announced a new free update to Rocket League , due to arrive on December 7 on Xbox One . The new update will introduce a new arena called Starbase ARC — " a new semi-octagonal shaped map standard, set in a spatial setting and orbiting a giant planet ".

The arena will be selectable in Competitive matches, Casual and Private.

Also, at the same time as the new update will be published a paid DLC containing the car Vulcan space.
