Great news for lovers of the saga of Gears: Rod Fergusson of The Coalition announced during a direct happened tonight that Universal Studios have begun production of a film dedicated to Gears of War .

Currently there are many details about: Fergusson explained that this will not be a "film for gamers" but a film aimed at all audiences, which will use the lore of GoW to create an epic story but without necessarily follow faithfully what was seen in the games, much like the Marvel movies have made towards comics which draw. We also know that the producers are following the project are the same who have followed films like Ted, The Kingdom and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
