Electronic Arts has released the list of 9 multiplayer maps that will be featured in Battlefield 1 at the game's launch, providing us with a picture and a short description for each class; We can thus have an overview of environments-including Italian-in which we will fight along with the other players.

BLITZ IN THE BALLROOM

Take part in the final offensive along the Meuse River, in 1918. Here the trench warfare quickly leaves the place to the devastating fighting, in a fabulous setting. A great French chateau accommodation for officers in the rear, is the scene of a battle with tanks and flame throwers. The candlesticks are shaking under the blows of the artillery, while American forces are advancing on the railway junction at the end of the map.

THE ARGONNE FOREST

The shadowy recesses of the Argonne Forest are home to some of the most brutal melee Battlefield 1. The vegetation hiding dangerous defensive structures, a maze of bunkers and several machine gun nests. Camouflaged firing field guns at close range and the attackers use gas against enemy bunkers. Who will make the most of their sharp Spades will become the master of the forest. In this map, focused on infantry, only the real heroes.

FORTRESS OF FAO

Take part in one of the first landings of the great war, with British Empire forces intending to take control of oil fields in the Fao peninsula. Access to the area is however protected by the majestic Ottoman fortress of Fao, who will not sell without resistance. Prepare for battle between marshes and dunes, overcoming shallow creeks and bridges. In the end, the assault will reach the Fort itself. From there, the race for oil. The battleship needs fuel.

SUEZ

A battle to control the most important supply line of World War I. The Ottomans have accomplished the impossible, crossing the Sinai desert and coming to threaten the channel. Join the fighting on the banks of the Canal and leverages tactically the dunes. Battle through the defenses, facing field guns and mortars, up to the suburbs of Kantara and beyond, in the heart of the desert.

The BATTLE Of SAN QUINTINO

A massive offensive on the battlefields in Northern France were devastated. In the context of the battle for the Emperor, the German army committed all his forces in an attempt to break through the British lines. Get ready to terrifying assaults as you battle through the trenches of San Quentin. Exceeds first fortified lines and leads the assault on the village of Travecy, remained miraculously intact during the fighting--at least so far.

SINAI DESERT

Addresses the global war in the Fiery desert of Sinai, located east of El-Jifar. Fight sudden skirmishes in the narrow streets of the village of Bir el Mazar or dogfights over the majestic slopes of the region and learn to leverage the dunes to your advantage during fights. Then, when all hope seems lost, you'll receive a powerful Behemoth as reinforcement: a deadly armoured train will reach clanked through the desert sands.

AMIENS

A terrible clash in a beautiful city. Fight in the streets and squares of the French city of Amiens, during the German spring offensive. You will have to fight through the rubble of the alleys, in a courthouse and near bridges and rail lines, while British and Germans are desperately trying to take control of the heart of the city.

MONTE GRAPPA

Take part in one of the final battles between the majestic peaks of the Alps. Above the clouds, at high altitude, is a clash desperate for strong control. Even the most seasoned veterans are finding it difficult. Using the huge guns of the forts to stop the advance of the enemy, hitting them as they try to climb the mountain. In this infernal fighting the austro-Hungarian Empire is in a strong position, but the Italian Army will not stop before regaining their territories.

THE BORDER OF THE EMPIRE

Along the Adriatic coast a fierce battle rages for control of the territory. The coast, rugged and fortified, it becomes the battlefield where the fight an empire under siege. What was once a beautiful seaside village has been transformed from mechanized warfare, while the waves and warships are the protagonists of the last acts of the great war in Italy.
