Codemasters announced on the official blog of F1 2016 an additional and important news for the new episode of Formula 1 Simulator coming to Xbox One on 19 August . In particular, the software house revealed that the game has undergone a multiplayer online mode where you can challenge up to 22 players .

Lee Mather, Principal Games Designer commented on the news:

" It was extremely important for us to improve the multiplayer support up to 22 players because we want to be able to fill the entire grid with real players in order to create those moments of great race and history. "

Mather also revealed that " there is a greater support for online leagues " and has confirmed the introduction of the following new features:

• New career mode;
• Hospitality areas for each team that serve as hubs for the player;
• Safety Car;
• Virtual Car Safety;
• Familiarization trip;
• Manual start;
• Ability to control the car even while entering the pit lane and control braking before the Pit lane to minimize the time wasted during input in the pits.
